I love that Shawn is enjoying Cloney's frustration.
Ha! That silly Ninja Monkey! He's so silly - and was definitely present in the previous two strips and not edited back in by me after realizing I needed a fourth person for today's interaction. Don't be ridiculous.
I'm going to have to rethink how I'm doing these bonus panels. That's way too big.
I really did blow on ice cream once. It was too cold! My brain just... you know how you burn your mouth on soup so you instinctively blow on it? Yeah. The ice cream was too cold, so my instincts kicked in. My stupid, stupid instincts.
I had to really fight leaning into the Calvin and Hobbes 'feel' on this one. There's a VERY similar strip with this same setup, and the beats throughout are pretty similar. I avoided looking it up in fear I'd start to emulate how Bill Watterson drew it... Let's call it an homage.

Ha! Nerd.
I like the notion that anything even slightly obscuring / distorting Superman's eye region will work.
I went from a quick comic to make up for having no time during the weekend to work on the comic... to blowing the ENTIRE weekend working on this. I liked it yesterday, but today, it just feels... rambling? With a weak punchline. I'm not redoing it!
